Strengthening Industrial Interoperability Through Standardization
Arrowhead fPVN project, actively contributes to international standardization efforts, ensuring that industrial systems can seamlessly exchange data, improve efficiency, and enhance interoperability. Standardization plays a crucial role in enabling automation, digitalization, and sustainable industrial transformation.
The project engaged in multiple standardization communities that define the future of industrial data integration and exchange, including:
🔹 ISO/TC 184/SC 4 (Industrial Data) – This committee develops global standards for product data representation, lifecycle data integration, and ontology-based interoperability, supporting automation and digital twins.
🔹 DEXPI (Data Exchange in the Process Industry) – Focuses on standardized data models for process plant engineering, ensuring seamless data transfer between different software tools.
🔹 CFIHOS (Capital Facilities Information Handover Specification) – Establishes guidelines for the structured exchange of asset information across industries, enhancing collaboration in large-scale projects.
🔹 PCA (POSC Caesar Association – Reference Data) – Develops reference data libraries for global interoperability in the process and manufacturing industries.
Why is this important?
Our participation in these standardization bodies ensures that the Arrowhead fPVN project aligns with the latest international best practices, fostering:
✅ Seamless industrial data integration across diverse platforms and stakeholders.
✅ Reduced engineering effort and costs through standardized information exchange.
✅ Increased efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in industrial operations.
✅ Future-proof solutions that enhance digital transformation and Industry 4.0.Standardization is not just for specialists—it impacts everyone in industry, ensuring that technologies work together in a connected, digital world! Stay tuned as we continue contributing to open, interoperable industrial ecosystems.
