Unlocking the Future of Industrial Integration: Highlights from the Inside General Assembly 2025

On March 20th, 2025, the Inside Industry Association hosted its annual General Assembly, bringing together key players from across Europe’s electronics and embedded systems sectors. The agenda covered strategic updates around the Chips Act 2.0FP10, and the Chips JU phase-out, while also spotlighting cutting-edge research through a series of technology keynotes.

Professor Jerker Delsing of Luleå University of Technology delivered a keynote on Information Interoperability—a pressing challenge in realizing the full potential of digital transformation in industry.

Jerker  introduced the Arrowhead fPVN project, which addresses fragmented data standards and the lack of seamless system integration. The project leverages the Industrial Data Ontology (IDO)—an emerging ISO standard—and the Eclipse Arrowhead framework to enable semantic translation across tools, platforms, and industrial domains.

A real-world use case in the Pulp & Paper sector demonstrated how ontology-based integration and knowledge graphs support automated synchronization between physical assets and their digital twins—advancing safety, efficiency, and control in industrial environments.

The Inside GA 2025 was not only a space for strategic discussion but also for community building, as several new members joined the association. Eclipse Arrowhead extends a warm thank-you to Inside for the opportunity to share our work and to engage with such a forward-thinking audience.

We’re proud to be part of this collaborative ecosystem and look forward to continued innovation across domains.
