Arrowhead fPVN Final Newsletter – Three Years of Progress, One Shared Direction

After three years of collaboration, innovation, and industrial validation, the Arrowhead fPVN project has reached the end of its funded phase. We are pleased to share our fourth and final newsletter (Summer 2026), highlighting the project’s key achievements, technological developments, and lasting contributions to industrial interoperability.

This final edition reflects on the project’s journey, showcasing how research and technological innovation have translated into practical solutions and reusable results for European industries.

Highlights of this edition include:

  • Industrial validation: Seven industrial use cases across the automotive, aerospace, and process industry sectors, demonstrating interoperability solutions in real-world environments.
  • Technological achievements: Advances in Eclipse Arrowhead 5.2.0, semantic interoperability, automated data translation, and the Arrowhead Framework Ontology.
  • Standardisation and impact: Contributions to major industrial data standards, including ISO 23726, ISO 10303, and ISO 15926, and connections to emerging initiatives such as the Digital Product Passport.
  • Knowledge and innovation: Eight technological assets documented in the Arrowhead Innovation Catalogue, supporting future exploitation and adoption.
  • Project milestones: Highlights from the Industrial Semantic Interoperability Summit in Høvik, Norway, and the project’s final review in Graz, Austria.
  • Beyond the project: Opportunities to build upon Arrowhead fPVN technologies, open resources, and collaborative networks.

Although the funded project period has concluded, its outcomes provide a foundation for continued innovation, industrial adoption, and future collaboration.

We extend our sincere thanks to all project partners, researchers, industry representatives, and stakeholders for their valuable contributions throughout this journey.
